Family-owned and operated since 1971
During the early years of SanMar, founder Marty Lott opened a box of yellow t-shirts he’d ordered for his client, the Seattle SuperSonics. What he found was a hodgepodge of yellow hues in varying sizes and fabrics—and his supplier refused to make it right. When Marty told his wife, Sharon, about what happened, she said he could do a better job selling his own blank shirts. Moreover, they could change the industry with a promise to treat people well and do right by their customers.
A lot has changed since then. Marty’s son Jeremy, who grew up running around in warehouses and helping with deliveries, took over as president and CEO. SanMar expanded from a mom-and-pop operation to an international leader with more than 5,000 employees. We adopted new technologies and manufacturing methods to bring our customers the best apparel in the industry.
What hasn't changed—and never will—are the values that have guided SanMar since Day 1: Be Nice and Tell the Truth |
